Create an account
You manage everything in Nodea from the web console at app.getnodea.com. The desktop app uses the same account.
Section titled “Sign up”Go to app.getnodea.com/signup and choose one of these:
- Email and password. Your password must be at least 8 characters long and contain at least one letter and one digit. After you click Sign Up, we send a confirmation link to your inbox.
- Continue with Google. Your account is created and confirmed right away. No email step is needed.
Confirm your email
Section titled “Confirm your email”Click the link in the email titled Welcome to Nodea - confirm your email to get started. The link works once and expires after 24 hours. If it has expired, the page that opens lets you enter your email and click Resend confirmation email.
You can’t log in with an email and password until your address is confirmed.
Section titled “Log in”Log in at app.getnodea.com/login with the same method you signed up with.
Set up your organization
Section titled “Set up your organization”Every account belongs to one organization. The first time you log in, Nodea asks you to set up your organization:
- Enter an Organization Name. The form checks as you type whether the name is free.
- Click Continue.
You become the organization’s Admin and land on the Get started page.
If you were invited by a teammate, you won’t see this step. Accepting the invitation adds you to their organization. See Invitations.
The Get started checklist
Section titled “The Get started checklist”The Get started page in the console walks you through setup and ticks each step off on its own:
- Install the Nodea app. This completes once one of your devices connects.
- Create an API key. This step is for Admins. Members see it marked Skipped.
- Make your first request. This completes when the first request made with one of your keys arrives. Members can tick it off themselves with I’ve made a request.
A progress card in the sidebar links back to the checklist. You can hide it with Hide the guide from the sidebar.
Delete your account
Section titled “Delete your account”Go to Account in the console, open Danger zone and click Delete account. To confirm, type your email address. See Managing members for what happens to your organization, devices and API keys.
