Organizations

An organization is your team’s space in Nodea. Everything is shared at the organization level:

  • Members. The people on your team, each an Admin or a Member.
  • Devices. Every device that a member has signed in to with the desktop app. Together they form the organization’s fleet.
  • Models. The models your Admins have enabled for the fleet to serve.
  • API keys. The keys your applications use to send requests to the fleet.

A request made with one of your organization’s API keys is only ever served by your organization’s devices.

You create an organization the first time you log in. See Set up your organization.

  • Organization names must be unique across Nodea. A name can be 2–254 characters and use letters, digits, spaces, and -, _, ' and ..
  • The person who creates the organization becomes its first Admin.

Each account belongs to exactly one organization at a time. To move to another organization, first leave your current one. Then either accept an invitation to the new organization or create a new one.

Each organization has a plan that limits how many devices can be connected at the same time:

Plan Devices connected at once
Starter (default) 5
Business 25

The limit applies to connected devices only. Devices that are offline don’t count toward it, and there’s no limit on members, models or API keys. The Team page shows your plan and how many devices are connected, for example Starter plan · 3 of 5 devices connected.

To change plan, contact hello@getnodea.com.

The console’s Fleet page lists every device registered to your organization. For each one it shows:

  • its status (Connected or Offline)
  • the model it’s serving
  • its hardware
  • the tokens it generated in the last 24 hours and 7 days

The Live page shows what each connected device is doing right now.

The console doesn’t have a setting for renaming an organization yet. Contact hello@getnodea.com if you need to change the name.

An organization is deleted when its last member leaves it or deletes their account. See Managing members.
